Have you come across a sign on the highway or in the city and you don't know what it means? Well, believe it or not, this happens a lot. You can always ask a police officer or someone else what that sign means, but to be a good driver it's important to know the signs before you get behind the wheel. That is why in this article we will share some traffic signs and what they mean that will help you drive more responsibly.
Road signs
There are three types of traffic signs:
• Preventive
• restrictive
• Informative
• Vertical signs
• Horizontal markings
The horizontal signs are those that are painted on the pavement, while the vertical signs are those made of metal that we usually see on the highway or in the city, which are usually yellow or green. The signals, informative, regulatory and preventive fall within this classification.
Preventive traffic signs
They are the yellow and black signs that are usually diamond-shaped and made of metal, which serve to warn drivers about some danger or indicate the way of the road.
This sign is used to indicate curves to the right or left that are 90 degrees.
Like the previous one, this type of traffic signal is used to indicate curves to the right or left with a curvature greater than 90 degrees.
Sinuous curve
This sign means that there are two or more reverse curves in the road.
Counter curve
This traffic signal means that there are two continuous curves going in the opposite direction.
Delta junction
This sign is used to indicate that there is an intersection of three roads. The main path is the widest line, and the other paths have a narrower line.
Roundabout
This is a classic sign that many of us have seen, which warns that there is a roundabout where there are at least two roads.
Double circulation
This is a sign that serves to indicate the change from one-way traffic to two-way traffic.
